Description: New Westminster is one of
British Columbia's oldest communities. It's known
for heritage housing and a disctinctive and historic
downtown. Located along the busy Fraser River,
truly a working river, New Westminster has moved
from its gold rush and logging history into a

development along its river shores.
The city is situated in the heart of the Greater
Vancouver Regional District with excellent transportation
and communication connections. New Westminster
is rimmed by SkyTrain, the rapid transit system

and Surrey.
Location: The City of New Westminster
is located 25 kilometres east of Vancouver Centre.
It's bordered by the Fraser River to the south,
Coquitlam to the east, and Burnaby and Richmond
to the West.
